Data Analyst for Reporting:

The Analysis & Reporting Specialist is responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis for the AM Tech unit and will support the department by providing financial reporting and analysis to aid business management and gives guidance and advice on accounting issues and the financial implications of business trends.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Primary focus is on daily deliverable of routine and defined outputs, while at the same time developing knowledge of the broader context in which the work is being performed.
  • Creates and/or maintains databases and management reports, interpreting data and identifying trends. Applies general knowledge of business developed through educations or past experience.
  • Prepares and analyzes data while also resolving data issues and discrepancies for reporting.
  • Develop reporting tools (e.g. Power BI dashboards) to analyze large complex data sets and provide executive level status reports and summaries in relation to workforce planning, portfolio reporting and financial management reporting.
  • Participate in the monthly financial review sessions with the relevant sub-department heads.
  • Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives.
  • Building sustainable and trustful relationships with key partners within the Group Technology and the Central COO team.
  • In collaboration with colleagues, improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the function and its internal accounting control requirements.

You have:

  • A university degree in finance or economics, with a strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience in data analysis, financial reporting and reconciliation of financial data
  • At least 5 years of professional experience gathered ideally in the financial services industry
  • Experience with building Alteryx workflows and Power BI reporting
  • Proficient with MS Office productivity tools (Excel, Access) and reporting tools (Power BI)
  • Advanced desktop computer and application skills including spreadsheets, databases, vendor reporting tools (tableau) and various other MS Office programs (Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and data reconciliation skills in the process of translating data into information
