Job Description:

Job Title: Technical Support Technician

Location: Onsite in Boise, ID

Pay: $18 to $20/hr

Job Summary
  • The Technician is responsible for assisting with the setup, installation, and support of IT hardware and software, ensuring a reliable production environment. This role involves troubleshooting, tracking service requests, and providing excellent customer support under the guidance of experienced team members.


Key Responsibilities (100%)
  • Set up, install, and support hardware, software, and peripheral devices based on design specifications.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and problem resolution to maintain system reliability.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding hardware and software functionality.
  • Offer limited system configuration support to improve equipment performance or address user needs.
  • Track and monitor service requests and installations, escalating issues as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, service activities, and resolutions.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks and assist with miscellaneous procedures under supervision.


Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant technical support experience.
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Quick learner with a logical approach to problem-solving and new systems.


Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Primarily office-based in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk or computer.
  • Frequent use of office equipment such as keyboards, phones, and calculators.
  • Physical activities may include bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, and turning.
