V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Database Administrator - Expert for our premier client in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Education and Experience
- Understand data structures and schemas and implementing appropriate indexes: 3 years.
- Able to create logical and physical models of data to represent relationships and ensure data integrity: 5 years.
- Working knowledge of DB2 and SQL Server database management systems (DBMS): 3 years.
- Understanding of the process of extracting data from various sources, transforming it, and loading it into a database: 5 years.
- Use of at least one data cleansing tool: 2 years.
- Able to create and execute test cases: 5 years.
- Must meet deadlines and manage multiple streams of work: 5 years.
Highly desired:
- Able to identify and resolve issues within the data cleansing process: 3 years.
- Able to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences: 3 years.
- Able to dissect complex problems and derive insights from large datasets: 3 years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to work in a team environment as well as without assistance; can provide input and feedback to others; able to manage highly complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Data analysis and database management.
- Designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.
- Creation of requirements for database, database schema, data maps, ERDs, application objects (i.e., tables, indexes, views, etc.).
- Creation of data rules to identify areas for data cleansing.
- Conducting data profiling, data analysis, data cleansing, database design, database implementation, data conversion, and data governance for the State's DMV data.
