Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a job opportunity for a full-time Combat Systems Torpedo & Ordnance Handling Equipment Engineering Technician III in Mayport, FL

The Combat Systems Torpedo & Ordnance Handling Equipment Engineering Technician provides troubleshooting, repair, assessment, testing, and logistics support for U.S. Navy shipboard Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes (SVTT) and Ordnance Handling Equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for evaluating and correcting fleet system/equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic Combat Systems repairs in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).

  • Offer technical assistance on qualified systems, including problem analysis, troubleshooting, isolation, correction, and checkout testing.

  • Conduct assessments and maintenance of shipboard systems and equipment, including training in maintenance and overhaul processes.

  • Perform operational assessment tasks during TSRAs, including:

  • Ballistic Missile Defense Readiness Assessments (BMDRAs)

  • INSURVs/Mid Cycle Inspections (MCIs)

  • Combat Systems Assessments (CSAs)

  • Pre-Deployment assessments

  • Provide integrated logistics support, including audits, reviews, and assessments to ensure adequate logistics support and recommend corrective actions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • May require travel (10% or more), both CONUS and OCONUS.

  • May require overtime.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 3 years (within the last 7) of full-time, hands-on experience in Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA), assessment, and logistical support of U.S. Navy SVTT and Ordnance Handling Equipment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Working knowledge of Maintenance and Material Management (3M).

  • Experience in mechanical, electronic, and electrical disciplines (primarily electronics).

  • Experience with assessment and oversight of SVTT/MK 32 and Ordnance Handling Equipment repairs.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and mechanical/electrical drawings.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NECs: 814, 746-750, 751 (others may apply).

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

ADA/Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and transport heavy equipment (minimum 30 lbs ).

  • Able to work on ladders, in extreme temperatures, aboard ships, in shipyards, and confined spaces.

  • May involve high heat, humidity, noise, dirty conditions, and working aloft or over vessel sides.

  • May require extended sea travel and respirator use.

  • Travel may be required both within and outside the continental U.S.

  • Work environment: 40% office, 60% shipboard (including confined or secure spaces).
