Job Title: Oracle Developer

Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: Long term

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Developer to design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications and databases. The ideal candidate will be experienced in PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and Oracle database architecture. You will work closely with business analysts, application developers, and database administrators to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Oracle database solutions using PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle tools.

  • Create stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions to support business requirements.

  • Optimize and tune existing queries and database structures for performance and scalability.

  • Collaborate with front-end and application developers to integrate backend Oracle databases.

  • Perform data modeling, normalization, and schema design based on application needs.

  • Write and maintain technical documentation for code, data processes, and workflows.

  • Assist in data migration, ETL processes, and report development.

  • Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and backup procedures.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, testing, and production environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 3 7 years of experience in Oracle database development.

  • Strong command of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.

  • Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/19c databases.

  • Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, and Oracle Forms & Reports.

  • Knowledge of performance tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plans.

  • Experience in working with large datasets and complex stored procedures.

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle APEX, ETL tools, or integration platforms.

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting.

  • Knowledge of other databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) is a plus.

  • Experience in finance, healthcare, or manufacturing domains is desirable.
