ROLE TITLE: Certified PM with Workday Specialization
START / END: 05/26/2025 to 12/31/2025. Potential for extension.
WORK ARRANGEMENT: 100% Remote. This position may work 100% remotely, but work must be done within the United States.
UTILIZATION: This role is 50% part-time (20 hours a week)
CLIENT LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI
Required Skills:
- Workday implementation experience (3 years)
- Workday Time Tracking experience (3 years)
- Ability to coordinate with employees and external vendor resources, document as-is business processes, schedule Teams meetings with agendas, and facilitate them to meet deadlines (3 years)
- Experience in IT project management (5 years)
- PMP Certification (active)
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Replacing PeopleSoft (FMIS / HRMS) with Workday for HR, Payroll, and Financials. Seeking a Certified Project Manager IV / Sr. with Workday experience to oversee the Time Tracking portion of this project.
The selected candidate will:
- Work with various City departments to ensure Time Tracking needs are accurately captured in the new Workday configuration.
- Assist with End-to-End Testing.
- Coordinate with the Implementation Vendor to manage required updates.
- Be efficient and responsive to email communications from departments.
- Be organized and detail-oriented when documenting departmental needs.
- Act as an excellent communicator, especially under pressure.
Time Tracking Details:
The majority of Departments will utilize Workday Time Tracking. Exceptions include:
- City Time: A custom-built application developed by the IT team, still used by some departments. The Project Manager will coordinate integration with Workday and communicate with both the Implementation Team and City IT staff.
- UKG TeleStaff: Used by several departments for scheduling. The Project Manager will evaluate integration opportunities to minimize duplication and enhance efficiency.
