The People Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights and solutions to optimize the Human Resources function. The People Analyst will collect, analyze, and report on people-related data, such as employee engagement, performance, retention, diversity, and program/initiative outcomes. The People Analyst will also partner with HR and business leaders to understand their data needs, challenges, and goals, and provide relevant and actionable recommendations.

We are offering this position as on-site, hybrid, or remote. Our preference is to have the person in this role reside in Washington State or Oregon, but we are open to remote employees who reside elsewhere in the U.S. In order to work remotely, candidates must reside in one of these U.S. states: WA, OR, ID, CA, AZ, CO, TX, IL, IN, WI, TN, MA, MD, VA, NC, GA, FL. Travel to Yakima, Washington for quarterly meetings is required.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties

  • Collect, clean, and integrate data from various sources, such as surveys, HR systems, external benchmarks, and other internal and external data sources.
  • Conduct descriptive, inferential, and predictive analysis on people-related data, using appropriate methods and tools.
  • Identify and communicate trends, patterns, and insights that support data-driven decision making and strategy.
  • Apply critical thinking and assessment skills to analyze problems and data as part of the development of corrective actions and recommendations.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to co-create and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations that visualize and communicate data findings and recommendations.
  • Effectively lead and facilitate group discussions and lead projects from inception through implementation and assessment.
  • Develop measures and indicators to determine the success and impact of various projects and initiatives related to people management and development.
  • Synthesize data from various sources and perspectives to provide a holistic and comprehensive view of the people-related issues and opportunities.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Oversee, utilize and maintain optimal function of data delivery and visualization tools.
  • Maintain and update existing reports and dashboards and troubleshoot any data issues or errors.
  • Maintain catalog of available standard and custom reports, including calculated fields.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in data analysis, healthcare, and people analytics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
    Associate s Degree and two additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
    High School Diploma or GED and four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare or HR
    Proficient in data analysis tools and languages, such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
    Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards, visualizations, and stories that effectively communicate data insights.
    Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques, such as regression, hypothesis testing, clustering, etc.
  • Experience Preferred: 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare or HR. Experience in working with healthcare and HR data, metrics, and processes. Experience in conducting advanced and complex data analysis, such as machine learning, natural language processing, etc. Experience in partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions and recommendations.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including efficiency in public speaking situations. Ability to manage and lead special projects from inception through completion. Skills in problem-solving, sound judgement, and conflict resolution. Strong organization skills, attention to details and accuracy. Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills with individuals and groups. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all corporate levels. Intermediate proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency with systems/program like UKG, Oracle, Tableau Power BI, and other similar systems and platforms. Knowledge of survey design and collection. Strong analytical skills to interpret survey data. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
