Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Intermediate Drupal UI/UX Designer and Developer in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with agency stakeholders to understand project requirements, user needs, and business goals
* Design and build Drupal websites with custom themes, templates, and front-end components
* Lead and execute content migration strategies, including bulk content transfer, taxonomy configuration, and metadata management
* Develop responsive, standards-compliant front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), aligned with design prototypes
* Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on design concepts
* Administer and configure Drupal site elements such as content types, views, menus, blocks, roles, and permissions
* Conduct usability testing, user research, and feedback sessions to inform and validate design and content decisions
* Ensure all designs and implementations comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, including support for assistive technologies
* Optimize web performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
* Provide hands-on training and documentation to support internal team capacity in Drupal site building, theming, and content management
* Facilitate ongoing knowledge transfer and mentor team members in Drupal best practices
* Stay current on UI/UX trends, Drupal advancements, accessibility guidelines, and related web technologies

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field or equivalent work experience
* 4-6 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end web development
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with Drupal 9 or higher, including theming, site building, and administration
* Experience with Drupal content migration, taxonomy design, and configuration management
* Demonstrated expertise in WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, including testing and remediation
* Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation) and JavaScript libraries (e.g., React, jQuery)
* Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services integration
* Proficiency with prototyping and design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop)
* Proven track record of mentoring or training others in Drupal theming and platform management
* Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
* Ability to clearly document and communicate design decisions, technical processes, and training materials

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
