Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned SAP FICO Architect with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA to lead the design and implementation of financial systems within a dynamic finance industry environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align SAP capabilities with complex financial operations, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead SAP S/4HANA Finance (1909 and beyond) solutions tailored to financial services operations, including banking, insurance, or investment management.
- Design and configure core FICO modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), and Bank Accounting.
- Implement advanced S/4HANA features such as Universal Journal, Central Finance, Group Reporting, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations (e.g., SOX, IFRS, GAAP) and support audit and risk management processes.
- Integrate SAP with financial platforms such as Treasury Management Systems (TMS), Risk & Compliance tools, and external reporting systems.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams through Fit-to-Standard workshops, blueprinting, and solution design.
- Provide governance and oversight for SAP FICO development, testing, and deployment.
- Stay current with SAP innovations and finance industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 3 full life cycle implementation Hands-On experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance.
- Strong understanding of financial services processes, including regulatory reporting, financial consolidation, and intercompany transactions.
- Experience with SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- SAP certification in FICO or S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Central Finance, Group Reporting, and Treasury & Risk Management.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, Fiori UX, and cloud-based finance integrations.
- Exposure to global financial operations, multi-entity structures, and shared services models.
- Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and financial analytics.
Job Duties: -
- Work with the Business and technical leads to plan, co-ordinate and execute technical projects from task assignment to completion 10%
- Mentor and coach other members of the SAP Technical and Business teams 5%
- Organizes work efforts and prioritizes the tasks to be achieved to meet SLAs and deliverables5%
- Track Risks and issues associated with the Project and Production support deliverables. Keep the team updated about the progress for timely completion of assigned tasks 5%
- Execute the project deliverables by collaborating with the on-site technical and business teams 5%
- Analyze existing business processes, working with the business units to identify best practices by covering the SAP cross functional integration with all modules 5%
- Analyze and support application of support packs and system upgrades to future SAP releases 5%
- Analyze the root cause of system functionality defects and provide design assistance to resolve the issues. Address and resolve system functionality support issues via configuration, SAP note application and recommending developments10%
- Develop/design functional specifications for customized development and provide functional support for the development team 15%
- Conduct system integration testing and assist business users in completing user acceptance testing where functionality validation is completed before recommending the release of changes to the production environment 10%
- Collaborate with the business systems leaders to identify research and propose functionality improvement opportunities in the financial systems technology roadmap 5%.
