Job Title: Data Scientist / ML Engineer (Active U.S. Security Clearance Required)
Location: Dayton, OH (Onsite)
Duration: 3+ Months Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in delivering data-driven solutions for mission-critical operations.
This role requires a hands-on expert in machine learning, big data engineering, and large-scale data processing, ideally with experience in classified environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models on large-scale datasets.
Engineer data pipelines, including HDFS ingestion and parquet file handling.
Optimize and manage complex SQL queries using Greenplum or PostgreSQL.
Build and manage external tables, ensuring performance and scalability.
Apply statistical and ML methods to solve real-world problems.
Utilize GPML (Greenplum Machine Learning) for model development and deployment.
Automate ML workflows using scripting languages (Python, R, or Julia).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Active U.S. Security Clearance Secret (minimum); Top Secret preferred.
Hands-on experience with training and deploying machine learning models.
Proficiency with big data engineering, including handling parquet files and HDFS ingestion.
Expertise in SQL, particularly with Greenplum or PostgreSQL.
Experience working with large-scale datasets (1PB+ preferred).
Practical knowledge and experience using GPML (Greenplum Machine Learning).
Strong scripting skills in Python, R, or Julia for building ML workflows.
