Job summary -
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing supplier and negotiating favorable terms to meet our company's operational needs. This role is critical in driving cost savings, mitigating risk, and ensuring a robust and reliable supply chain in current versatile market situation.
Key responsibilities
Sourcing strategy
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, Commodity price Indices, supply risks, Tariff Impact.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to find the best value, quality, and reliability.
- Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies to make informed sourcing recommendations.
Supplier management
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, capacity, and Industry experience.
- Commodity-specific suppliers, suppliers capability analysis (Products, capacity, machines etc).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and suppliers.
- Monitor and track supplier performance using key metrics and implement improvement plans as needed.
Negotiation and contracts
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), and other relevant documents.
- Price analysis, Comparison, Target cost-based Negotiations, Market price analysis.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as Project managers, Engineering, Quality to understand their needs.
- Communicate sourcing progress and results to leadership.
- Ensure that procurement and sourcing activities comply with internal policies and procedures, SOP s.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration.
- Proven experience as a Sourcing Specialist or in a similar role within procurement and supply chain.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, SAP, COUPA/Jaggaer/ Ariba, depending on the specialization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in Excel - deep understanding of complex functions, macros, analyze large datasets, and create dynamic reports.
