Typical Day in the Role
- Morning:
- Start by checking emails, messages, and project status updates. Prepare for the Daily Scrum, reviewing the agenda and addressing any team concerns.
- Facilitate the Daily Scrum, encouraging team members to share progress, identify blockers, and plan their work for the day.
- Team Engagement and Impediments:
- Based on observations and feedback, plan how to engage team members during the day, address impediments, and potentially plan for training or coaching sessions.
- Afternoon/Evening:
- Scrum Events: Facilitate Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Coaching and Training: Provide coaching and mentoring to the team, the Product Owner, and potentially other stakeholders. This might include training on Scrum practices, Lean Thinking, or other relevant topics.
- Communication and Coordination: Maintain open communication with team members, stakeholders, and management, addressing any concerns and ensuring everyone is aligned.
- Continuous Improvement: Help the team identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize their workflow.
- Addressing Impediments: Remove any obstacles that are preventing the team from achieving their sprint goals.
- Support for New Teams: May assist teams that are just adopting Scrum.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate meetings across different teams to manage dependencies and share lessons learned.

- Facilitation: Facilitate all Scrum events and ensure they are conducted effectively.
- Coaching: Provide coaching to the team, Product Owner, and other stakeholders.
- Impediment Removal: Identify and remove impediments that are preventing the team from making progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Help the team continuously improve their processes and practices.
- Communication: Maintain clear and transparent communication with the team and stakeholders.
- Protection of the Scrum Team: Shield the team from external interference that could disrupt their work.
- Performance Metrics:
- Establish team metrics like sprint cadency, Backlog, track risk and dependency.
- Uniqueness of this role is it supports AWS in call centers.

Candidate Requirements
- Required: Bachelors degree, SAFe Scrum Master Certification Certified Agile Practitioner, or equivalent certifications required :
- Years of experience required: 3-5 years
- Disqualifiers: have not used Jira or Jira Align, have not held a scrum master before.
- Additional qualities to look for: Agile certification and/or Scrum master certification
skills: Top 3 must-have hard skills stack-ranked by importance
- 1 Jira/ Jira Align
- 2 Agile
- 3 Call Center/AWS
