Job Details

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Utilize advanced automation systems to drive high-volume manufacturing, supporting new tool installations and optimizing process conditions to minimize human and machine-induced errors. Leverage engineering expertise across mechanical systems and subsystems to identify root causes of failures and implement effective, resource-driven solutions. Apply data analytics, statistics, and Design of Experiments (DOE) to enhance measurement sensitivity through statistical process control, enabling continuous improvement. Collaborate with data science and machine learning teams to automate early fault detection and utilize predictive analytics for proactive equipment maintenance. Demonstrate proficiency in understanding programming scripts, enabling collaboration with automation engineers to conceptualize and implement innovative automation projects that streamline processes and facilitate real-time equipment monitoring. Utilize knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to diagnose inefficiencies in hydraulics, pneumatics, and heat transfer/chiller systems, conducting comprehensive root cause analyses and optimizing system performance. Oversee department-level metrics alongside workstation-wide metrics to ensure alignment with operational goals and quality standards. Manage the department's fleet of calibrated assets, ensuring timely calibration, compliance, and consistent equipment availability to maintain production quality. Act as the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) coordinator, implementing maintenance extensions and initiatives that improve operational reliability and prevent quality issues. Respond swiftly to tool downtime events, employing engineering data to minimize disruptions and ensure a rapid return to production. Create and update repair procedures to ensure they are error-proof, efficient, and aligned with best practices. Facilitate the de-installation and installation of tools for fab scale-up projects, adhering to CoHE, EHS, and HAZCOM standards. Drive Continuous Improvement (CIP) and TPM projects to reduce tool excursions, enhance technician efficiency, and optimize equipment reliability. Leverage hands-on experience with machining, welding, surface treatments, mechanics, and electrical circuits/diagrams to troubleshoot equipment effectively, perform advanced tool performance analysis, and ensure robust operational support.

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. Position requires:

1. Working on mechanical systems

2. Machining of parts (Lathe, Drilling, Welding)

3. Hardware modification and qualification

4. 2D / 3D modeling

5. Creating technical procedures

6. Presenting technical data

7. Root Cause Analysis

8. Design of Experiments

9. Statistical Data Analysis
