Job Description:

Job Title: Front Office Trading & Sales Support Analyst (Mid-Level)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Shift: First or Second Shift (7 AM-4 PM or 10 AM-7 PM)

Weekend Work: Occasional Saturday release (once a month)

Overview:

We are seeking two experienced Front Office Trading and Sales Support Analysts to join a dynamic and fast-paced team supporting a major financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to traders and sales teams on the trading floor.
  • Act as the first point of contact for technical issues-via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Monitor system health using tools like ITRS, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Manage and resolve incidents and service requests using MY ITSM (transitioning to ServiceNow).
  • Take over daily handovers from offshore teams (India) and ensure smooth operations.
  • Escalate issues to development teams when necessary and follow through to resolution.
  • Document incidents and resolutions in line with ITIL principles (Incident & Problem Management).
  • Participate in monthly Saturday release cycles and occasional weekend support.
  • Self-train and adapt quickly in a fast-evolving environment with limited formal training.

Required Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in front office trading and sales support.
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills-clear, concise, and confident.
  • Experience supporting traders directly on the floor.

Technical Skills:
  • Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux, Windows
  • Scripting & Programming: Python (strong plus), shell scripting
  • Monitoring Tools: ITRS (Geneos), Splunk (in migration), Dynatrace
  • Ticketing Systems: MY ITSM (transitioning to ServiceNow)
  • Other: Familiarity with OX (Operations Exchange), basic monitoring concepts

Soft Skills:
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn independently.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and incomplete documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with traders and cross-functional teams.
