Position: ETL Data Tester with Python, PySpark, DBT Great Expectations Experience (All Skills Mandatory)
Type: Remote with Quarterly Travel
Employment Type: Our W2

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Data Tester to join our team for a long-term project. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and DBT Great Expectations, as well as expertise in data validation and cloud-based ETL pipelines. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote environment, with occasional on-site collaboration on a quarterly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test strategies and plans for ETL data pipelines

  • Develop and maintain automated data validation scripts using Python and PySpark

  • Implement and manage DBT Great Expectations for data quality checks

  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure the integrity of data flows

  • Conduct root cause analysis on data issues and ensure timely resolutions

  • Document test plans, test cases, and test results in compliance with project standards

  • Work with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as an ETL Data Tester

  • Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark

  • Experience with DBT and Great Expectations for data testing

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

  • Solid understanding of SQL and data warehouse concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
