Job Details
Requirements:
- 10 or more years of experience in MS Access and cloud-native SQL database migration.
- Proficiency in relational database design, normalization, and schema refactoring.
- Experience with migrating legacy databases into Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS for SQL Server.
- Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Database Migration Service.
- Experience with RDBMS administration tools (TOAD, SSMS, or SQL Developer).
- Experience with VBA for custom functionalities and workflow automation in Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of legacy MS Access databases to modern SQL platforms.
- Design and execute schema transformations, ETL pipelines, and data validation checks.
- Analyze existing data structures and design scalable SQL schemas.
- Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and security recovery procedures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and data dictionaries.
- Ensure user interfaces and reports comply with EIR Accessibility standards.
- Provide technical assistance and training to stakeholders during data transition.
