Functional Workday FINANCIALS Implementation analyst with at least one full Workday Implementation (THE MORE THE BETTER) . The industry is not important bus Business Services and Tax Advisory services are a big plus. This is a Functional role, maybe techno-functional but NOT TECHNICAL.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Functional Workday Financials Implementation Analyst with 5+ years of experience in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Financials modules. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Workday's financial functionality, including Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, and Financial Reporting. As part of the Workday implementation team, the successful candidate will contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system configuration to testing and go-live support. This is a hands-on role that requires strong functional expertise, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration, design, and implementation of Workday Financials modules including Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, HR, Procurement) to gather business requirements and translate them into functional designs and Workday solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support in Workday Financials best practices, ensuring the solution is aligned with business needs and corporate policies.
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time and meets business expectations.
  • Assist with data migration from legacy financial systems into Workday Financials, ensuring data integrity and proper mapping.
  • Conduct system testing, including developing test scripts, performing unit testing, and facilitating UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Configure Workday Financials modules to meet business requirements and improve financial workflows.
  • Provide post-implementation support, ensuring the system remains optimized and all issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the creation of user guides, documentation, and training materials to support users post-implementation.
  • Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards in Workday Financials to ensure actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls during configuration and implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into functional requirements for system configuration.
  • Stay up to date with Workday Financials updates and new features to recommend improvements and optimizations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Workday Financials (Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials modules and configurations, including setup, workflows, and business process configurations.
  • Experience in data migration, ensuring smooth and accurate transition from legacy financial systems to Workday.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday reporting tools (Workday Report Writer, Prism Analytics, etc.) to build reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in configuring security roles and access controls within Workday to ensure compliance and data security.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both business users and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of integration concepts, with experience working on or supporting integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems.
  • Ability to train and support end-users during and post-implementation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Certification in Financials or related Workday modules (Accounting, Procurement, Expenses).
  • Experience with Workday Integration tools and technologies (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB).
  • Understanding of financial reporting and compliance standards in a global environment.
  • Prior experience working in a public sector or regulated financial environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and audit requirements.
