We are currently hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer (EE) who will be a key member within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies group in the Boston area. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for PCB and module designs in support of new air and ground-based radar products. The Senior Electrical Engineer will report to the Manager of Hardware Engineering within the Radar Technologies group.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Design, layout, and route digital, analog, and RF PCBs including component creation, circuit design, schematic capture, constraint setup, PCB stack up design, and design rule checking (DRC)
- Model high-speed digital, analog, and RF paths including signal & power integrity analyses
- Perform timing analyses on all speed-critical circuits such as signal and clock distributions
- Lead design trade studies to ensure the best components, technologies, and innovations are used to meet performance, reliability, cost, and scalability requirements
- Collaborate with the Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering teams to drive development of PCBs, subsystems and assemblies
- Adhere to design for manufacturing (DFM) principles and work closely with the production team to improve both manufacturability and producibility
- Perform bench-level board measurements and data collections
- Represent the company at technical reviews, meetings and formal design reviews
- Stay current with PCB industry innovations, developments and trends

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
- Demonstrates detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership
- Proven experience designing and simulating digital, analog and RF circuits, subsystems, and assemblies using tools such as SPICE, PowerSI, PowerDC, ANSYS SiWave and HFSS
- Strong working knowledge of circuit operations, routing techniques, signal & power integrity optimization, and DFM rules for PCB design and layout
- Experience designing PCBs with Altium PCB Designer (or similar) including component and library creation, floor planning, board layout and PCB stack up design
- Knowledge of FAB and SMT assembly technologies with a proven ability of applying the appropriate PCB manufacturing rules, DRCs, and material selection to meet product performance and manufacturing requirements
- Proficient in measurement techniques and skilled in operating standard lab equipment including multimeters, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other essential tools for circuit correlation, testing, and analysis
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts, components, and technologies and apply them accurately throughout a fast-paced, R&D environment
- Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals
- Must have strong documentation skills to ensure all requirements, test plans, and design details are adequately captured
- Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required
- Experience impedance matching and mitigating transmission line effects, parasitic structures, and signal routing discontinuities
- Knowledge of design and layout techniques to mitigate effects from EMC/EMI
- Experience with design verification (DVT) and reliability testing for product qualification
- Active security clearance
