Join the IT Planning Team at Pinterest where we are responsible for creating and managing the future of our IT resources. In this role, you will play a key role in developing strategies and implementing tools and processes to achieve our vision.

What you'll do:
  • Act as a representative of Pinterest's global asset footprint; driving analytics, governance, recommendations, and cost savings opportunities across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, infrastructure and consulting agreements.
  • Assist IT management in understanding financial and other business data, including cloud, network, desktop, consulting and SaaS/licensing. Develop models and analyses to drive better decision-making and business performance, identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • In partnership with Procurement and IT, review invoices, contracts, etc., to ensure accurate budgeting/forecasting and to optimize cost.
  • Review vendor history and work with technical teams to understand current and future licensing needs, performing analytics across various tools (discovery, financial, contracting, outside portals) as needed to establish license positioning.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for strategic vendors, analyzing performance metrics and discussing opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and financial planning and analysts teams to oversee and manage capital expenditures (capex) spending initiatives.
  • In partnership with Procurement help transform our vendor ecosystem with the goal of offering highly agile services worldwide, delivering on-demand scalability.
  • Assist in the management of IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools to analyze our software spend across the enterprise, identifying products with high savings opportunities and develop a roadmap for long term rollout of software improvement models.
  • Assist in the management and development of the IT Team's budget, by working with our IT senior leadership team and financial planning and analyst team to update our monthly/yearly forecasts.

What we're looking for:
  • 3+ years of experience in software asset management, ideally the candidate should have a strong focus on software & hardware asset management.
  • 3+ years experience in managing the full lifecycle of complex vendor engagements, including renewals, onboardings/offboardings, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Analysis - spreadsheets - developing recommendations.
  • Strong executive communication skills: exceptional writing skills. Effective communication in written and verbal form.
  • Strong cross functional skills who can collaborate effectively with finance sourcing, financial planning analysts, IT senior leaders, and other stakeholders to execute IT teams vision.
  • Experienced business leader adept at identifying strategic requirements. Proficient in leading all facets of planning by providing informed business recommendations. Proven ability to align cross-functional partners to achieve organizational goals effectively.
  • Proven capabilities in developing IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools and conducting in-depth inventory analysis to ensure compliance, facilitate data-driven decision-making, and optimize IT operations.
