Job Details

Job Title: RACF Support Technician (Mainframe Access & Security)

Location: Atlanta,GA - (Hybrid - local to Metro Atlanta)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing RACF IDs for mainframe users.
  • Strong knowledge of user provisioning, password resets, and troubleshooting in multi-system environments.
  • Experience conducting user re-certification and account deactivation based on inactivity.
  • Ability to enforce and communicate security policies to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Experience supporting audit processes (state and federal).
  • Ability to create and run queries for ad-hoc reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with systems such as Ga-Gateway, UAS, $TARS, EPPIC, EBT, and EAS.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Microsoft Windows environments in enterprise settings.
  • Knowledge of mainframe security tools and best practices.
  • Prior experience in a government or large enterprise IT security environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate across organizational levels.
Responsibilities
  • Provision, manage, and troubleshoot user access for DHS systems, applications, and databases.
  • Create RACF IDs and maintain mainframe user accounts.
  • Reset passwords and resolve access-related issues for multiple key State of Georgia systems.
  • Conduct periodic re-certification of user accounts across major systems.
  • Identify and remove inactive users on a scheduled basis.
  • Enforce security policies and guidelines in compliance with state and federal standards.
  • Support state and federal audit processes by providing access documentation and evidence.
  • Develop and run queries to generate ad-hoc reports from application data.
  • Provide help-desk support and resolve user access issues with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
