Role: Systems Analyst 2
Location: Remote
Duration: 12-Month Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled SIDES Systems Analyst 2 to join our IT PMO team. This role will oversee one or more projects concurrently, supporting system evaluation, design, implementation, and enhancement. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication and organizational skills, working closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing and future system capabilities, research solution alternatives, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Participate in joint application design (JAD) sessions with business users and IT staff to define requirements and develop software system specifications.
- Collaborate with users to determine requirements for new processes, applications, or modifications to existing systems.
- Contribute to implementations and upgrades in a low-code platform, including system configuration and documentation of business processes.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation with high attention to detail, technical accuracy, and organizational clarity.
- Apply standardized project management processes, tools, and techniques to support project execution.
- Develop test artifacts, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and create training documentation to support project rollouts.
- Partner with developers to log, track, and resolve defects.
- Perform technical and analytical reviews to evaluate system functionality, resolve production issues, and enforce global standards.
- Support application issue diagnosis and prepare specifications for enhancements or fixes to improve performance and accuracy.
- Mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer activities.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure operational success.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.
- 4 7 years: Experience analyzing data from multiple source systems and database technologies using SQL.
- 4 7 years: Hands-on expertise designing, developing, and validating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Tableau, including:
- Building and publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards
- Report scheduling with Tableau Server
- Creating action filters, parameters, and calculated sets
- Developing workbooks from multiple data sources using Data Blending
- Publishing reports to Tableau Server
- 4 7 years: Experience gathering and analyzing requirements for data visualization in a data warehouse environment.
- 4 7 years: Experience working with relational and dimensional data warehouse models.
- 4 7 years: Translating requirements into effective data visualizations.
- 4 7 years: Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
- 4 7 years: Mentoring and training junior Tableau developers.
- 4 7 years: Public sector delivery experience (Preferred).
- 4 7 years: Experience with the Texas Workforce Commission (Preferred).
