Summary:
We are seeking a Help Desk / IT Support Technician for an urgent short-term contract in College Station, TX. The role will support the setup of IT infrastructure for a large live event at a stadium. Candidates must be local to College Station or able to reliably commute.
Responsibilities:
- Device Deployment: Install, configure, and deploy Windows devices on-site.
- Network Support: Handle basic networking tasks, including switch/router setup and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Event Support: Provide onsite IT support to ensure smooth operations during the event.
- Documentation: Record setup activities and network configurations for tracking.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts (routers, switches, connectivity).
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+ preferred.
- Experience: Previous Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Support role required.
- Availability: Must be available immediately for onsite contract work in College Station.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities.
