Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, Texas to
  • Architects, designs, builds, develops, tests, and/or implements software applications.
  • Conducts business and technical analysis, code reviews, and unit testing.
  • Implements, and produces technical documentation of solutions for new development, system enhancements, and production support.
  • Designs, develops, and implements modifications and corrections to existing software, including the development of debugging routines.
  • Performs regular check-ins to continuous integration of systems and/or software applications.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams and works with architects, systems analysts, project managers, QA and other developers to implement business requirements while applying the latest available tools and technology.
  • Works under direct supervision to ensure on-time delivery of projects, production support plans, and knowledge transfer for long-term supportability of upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.
  • Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
      • Java, and Spring Boot, and JavaScript, and HTML, and CSS, and Angular and NodeJS
      • SOAP/REST service APIs and Docker & Kubernetes
      • Relational Databases (MySQL or Oracle) and JPA
      • Creation of conceptual approach and technical analysis and design and development and unit testing and deploy and support activities
      • Linux Shell and Git and Python and Jenkins & Artifactory
      • Postman or SoapUI
      • Business process modelling (BPM) or workflow processes
      • Security Certificates
      • Authentication Mechanisms
      • JavaScript and HTML and CSS
      • Linux Shell and Git and Python
      • SOAP/REST service APIs or Container based services
      • Postman
      • Relational Databases (MySQL)
      • Creation of conceptual approach and technical analysis and design

Additional Information

Worksite:Austin, Texas

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $114,754.00 to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
