QA Manual Engineer-Mobile & RFID, Senior

Job Summary

A Manual QA Engineer-Mobile & RFID, Senior is responsible for manually validating the functionality, usability, and stability of our software products. Working closely with developers, product owners, and QA teammates, focused on testing mobile applications and certifying new RFID handheld readers used in supply chain visibility and traceability solutions. This role is ideal for detail-oriented testers who are passionate about software quality and eager to grow within a fast-paced, agile environment.
Position Location - This role is available in the Americas.
Time Zone Requirements - This team operates in the East/West Coast time zones.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and document manual test cases for our mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
Perform functionality, usability, and regression testing for RFID-based mobile workflows and supply chain scenarios.
Certify new RFID readers and mobile devices for compatibility with Seagull's software stack.
Conduct monthly revalidation of all certified devices, ensuring continued performance across releases.
Collaborate closely with Seagull's agile product development teams in sprint cycles to provide real-time feedback and parallel QA coverage.
Log and track detailed, reproducible bugs for engineering resolution.
Support test plan creation, edge case discovery, and assist in improving product quality metrics.
Required Experience, Skills & Abilities
Experience and skills:
5+ years of experience in manual QA for mobile applications.
Hands-on familiarity with RFID hardware and supply chain/logistics environments is a strong plus.
Basic understanding of mobile operating systems, device configuration, and mobile test tools.
Comfortable with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail).
Strong written and spoken English required.
Spanish proficiency is a significant plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience testing hardware/software integrations, particularly with barcode or RFID readers.
Familiarity with mobile test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium) is a plus, though not required.

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
