About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Software Engineer to join our team on a contingent basis. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of moderately complex software solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze technical challenges, implement scalable solutions, and support large-scale engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement software solutions aligned with business goals.
- Analyze and resolve moderately complex technical issues, applying sound judgment and engineering best practices.
- Participate in planning and execution of software deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of RESTful APIs and microservices, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
- Engage with client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or equivalent experience through a combination of work, education, military service, or training.
- Proficiency in Java and experience building microservices.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Java microservices architecture
- 1+ years of experience in Merchant Services or financial technology.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and integration technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), or OpenShift.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
