Job Description:
The State of Ohio s Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking an IT Consultant 1 to support its OAKS (Ohio Administrative Knowledge System) ERP platform with a focus on PeopleSoft Financials. This consultant will work closely with business users, IT stakeholders, and Managed Services Providers (MSPs) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities include:
Act as a PeopleSoft Financial Management and Product Specialist.
Collaborate with business units and vendors to support daily operations and projects.
Analyze business processes and recommend IT-based improvements.
Manage relationships with ERP MSPs to ensure SLA compliance.
Coordinate across business, infrastructure, security, and MSP teams to support system operations.
Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders and users.
Lead production issue triage, troubleshooting, and communication.
Liaise between business and MSP to manage expectations and requirements.
Support enhancements by developing project plans and leading requirements sessions.
Review and validate business requirements and MSP-delivered enhancements.
Monitor interfaces on the SFTP server and communicate scheduled outages to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in MSP service delivery.
Support testing efforts and project coordination with business users.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in PeopleSoft ERP Operations Management.
Minimum 3 years of PeopleSoft Financials 9.x experience in the following modules:
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Asset Management
Billing
General Ledger
Budget Development
Strategic Sourcing
Supply Chain
Travel & Expense
Procurement
Self-Service
Commitment Control
Experience leading application management or outsourcing engagements.
Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel).
Strong verbal and written communication skills in a large/complex organization setting.
Highly Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Public sector experience.
Experience working with or for a Tier-One System Integrator delivering PeopleSoft/Oracle services.
Strong ability to interface and resolve issues across organizational levels.
Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, bundles, or image updates.
Bachelor s degree (4-year).
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
ITIL certification.
PeopleSoft certifications.
Experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
