Job Title: Technical Analyst/IT Project Coordinator Please apply only if you are local to Arizona
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: One Year contract
Position Summary:
IRG Clients is seeking a skilled Technical Analyst/Coordinator with strong business analysis and project coordination capabilities to support the Public Health Department. The consultant will work closely with various agencies and external stakeholders to identify, document, and integrate data sources, and design workflows necessary for real-time public health insights. This is a key role in improving data-driven responses and strategic planning related to substance use and overdose prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery efforts to identify and document data workflows and system integrations across departments including Police, Fire, Victim Services, Parks and Recreation, Behavioral Health, and Homeless Services.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence and Data Integration (BIDI) team to establish data pipelines and enable real-time dashboard reporting.
- Coordinate communication between internal and external partners to collect, analyze, and document technical and business requirements.
- Ensure accurate documentation of database fields, data sources, and integrations for system development and dashboard enablement.
- Manage project deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks, including data discovery, profiling, cleansing, and integration.
- Support multiple phases of the dashboard development lifecycle including testing (UAT) and production implementation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a Technical Analyst, Business Analyst, or IT Project Coordinator in data integration or public health-related projects.
- Strong understanding of data discovery, API integrations, workflow documentation, and dashboard/report development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to quickly understand the agency's technical environment, data governance standards, and business operations.
- Familiarity with public health data systems and substance use intervention frameworks is a plus.
