Helpdesk Support Specialist - Role Overview
As a Helpdesk Support Specialist, you'll be the go-to person for ensuring that staff and affiliated users can work smoothly and securely with their technology. You'll handle a wide range of technical support tasks-from setting up and maintaining hardware and software to resolving issues with basic networking systems. Whether it's over the phone, via email, through remote sessions, or in person, your goal is to deliver fast, friendly, and effective support.
This role is more than just troubleshooting-it's about being a reliable partner to users across departments, helping them stay productive and confident in their tools. You'll be a key player in keeping their IT environment running efficiently while also contributing to a culture of service excellence.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 systems and standard software packages.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and Office 365.
- Track and resolve support tickets using a service desk platform.
- Communicate clearly and patiently with users of all technical skill levels.
- Escalate complex issues when needed and follow up to ensure resolution.
Required Skills:
- Solid experience with L1 help desk operations and L2 desktop support in a corporate environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and Windows 10 environments.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and phone/email-based support.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
- A customer-first mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Bonus Skills - Preferred but not Required:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) credentials.
- Understanding of ITIL or other service management frameworks.
