Role Overview

The client is preparing to upgrade from Epicor ERP 10 to Kinetic (on-premises) across two locations. They are seeking a hands-on Epicor Technical-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Shipping, Planning, MES, MRP, and Finance to lead and execute this upgrade.

This role requires deep Epicor knowledge, strong cross-functional understanding, and proven success in driving complex on-prem Epicor upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the Epicor 10 Kinetic on-premises upgrade, including planning, testing, deployment, and stabilization.

  • Analyze, migrate, and optimize BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards, and Customizations for Kinetic compatibility and performance.

  • Evaluate and enhance integrations between Epicor and external systems.

  • Implement accounting automation and process improvements across AP, AR, and GL.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine workflows in:

    • Shipping & Logistics order fulfillment and carrier integration

    • Production Planning & Scheduling resource allocation and production flow

    • MES shop-floor data capture and real-time reporting

    • MRP forecasting and material flow optimization

    • Finance reporting, reconciliation, and automation

  • Oversee data migration, validation, and reconciliation throughout the upgrade.

  • Deliver training and documentation for IT and business teams.

  • Manage system performance, reliability, and security for the upgraded on-prem environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Epicor ERP experience (Epicor 10 & Kinetic).

  • Proven success upgrading Epicor 10.x Kinetic (on-premises).

  • Strong technical expertise with:

    • BAQs, BPMs, Dashboards & Customizations

    • SSRS Reporting, SQL, and Data Integrations

    • Epicor REST API & Service Connect

  • Deep functional knowledge of Shipping, Planning, MES, MRP, and Finance modules.

  • Experience with multi-site environments, configuration, and process standardization.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with Epicor Automation Studio, Power BI, or other integration/analytics tools.

  • Experience working in manufacturing or distribution environments.
