Job Details

Required Experience (5+ years):

  • Experience working with Rhapsody Integration Engine in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience demonstrating strong understanding of HL7 v2.x standards and healthcare messaging workflows.
  • Experience with interface configuration, scripting, monitoring, and troubleshooting within Rhapsody.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as MLLP, TCP/IP, HTTP, SFTP, or SOAP/REST.
  • Experience creating technical training materials and clearly explain integration concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Experience applying excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting public health or government healthcare systems.
  • Experience with FHIR, CCD, CDA, or other healthcare data standards.
  • Experience with database management, Linux administration, or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Groovy).
  • Rhapsody certification or training programs (e.g., Lyniate Rhapsody Certified Professional).
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a detailed training syllabus and instructional materials for internal staff on Rhapsody administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Understand and explain HL7 message structures and common message types (ADT, ORU, ORM, etc.).
  • Configure, maintain, and document Rhapsody routes, filters, and communication points.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot interface channels, message flows, and communication errors.
  • Implement version control and deployment strategies for Rhapsody components and scripts.
  • Support day-to-day HL7 operations, including message tracing, recovery, and error handling.
  • Assist with onboarding new interfaces, validating test messages, and performing system upgrades under supervision.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to internal teams, reinforcing best practices for interface management and Rhapsody configuration.
  • Work collaboratively with health information exchange (HIE) and application teams to ensure interoperability and system reliability.
