Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) SOLR Search Expert with a strong technical background to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SOLR-based search configurations, indexing strategies, and performance tuning within the SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) environment. Candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing search functionality, working closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure high-performing, relevant, and scalable search capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and optimize SOLR search functionality in SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2).
  • Implement custom search features using SOLR query parsers, facets, filters, and synonyms.
  • Develop and maintain indexing strategies, including custom item indexers and indexed properties.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve search-related issues in CCv2 environments (including staging and production).
  • Perform search performance tuning and recommend best practices for high-traffic e-commerce sites.
  • Collaborate with product teams to deliver search features aligned with business goals.
  • Support the migration, deployment, and CI/CD of search-related configurations and code.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of search architecture and configurations.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
  • Assist in integration with external search services, if needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), with at least 2 years in CCv2 (Cloud-native).
  • Strong experience with Apache SOLR: schema design, indexing, querying, and performance tuning.
  • Proficient in Java, Spring, and Hybris core platform development.
  • Experience with Backoffice
  • Solid understanding of faceted navigation, search relevancy tuning, autosuggest, and search personalization.
  • Knowledge of Headless commerce architectures, RESTful APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Experience working in agile development teams and using JIRA/Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Certified Development Associate SAP Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience with AI/ML-based search enhancements (e.g., personalized or semantic search).
  • Exposure to SAP Spartacus (headless frontend).
  • Familiarity with integration of 3rd-party search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch, Algolia) is a plus.
