As the Command-and-Control System Engineering Technician, this position is a critical member of our CAC2S team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of hardware systems essential for CAC2S operations. This role will involve maintaining and upgrading this system.

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician III to support the U.S. Navy in Bedford, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Command-and-Control System Engineering Technician, this position is a critical member of our CAC2S team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of hardware systems essential for CAC2S operations. This role will involve maintaining and upgrading this system.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Supporting engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree in related discipline and three (3) years of related experience; Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must have ability to obtain a Secret Clearance; No clearance needed to start. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Production cable building experience.
- Experience wiring electronics.
- Background in reading schematics/drawings and troubleshooting from schematics/drawings.
