Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to support our cloud platform initiatives, automation efforts, and operational reliability across AWS and Azure environments. This role blends cloud engineering, infrastructure reliability, automation development, and security-minded platform design. The engineer should be capable of stabilizing cloud workloads, optimizing operational maturity, and building scalable patterns that improve availability and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering

  • Design, deploy, and enhance scalable infrastructure services across AWS and Azure.

  • Improve posture, configuration hygiene, and guardrail enforcement at the platform level.

  • Partner with platform and security teams to create resilient cloud architectures.

Infrastructure Reliability & Operations

  • Stabilize cloud infrastructure services by improving uptime, observability, and incident recovery.

  • Lead troubleshooting of operational failures, configuration drift, and deployment instability.

  • Automate operational workflows to minimize recurring issues and manual intervention.

Automation, Tooling & CI/CD Enablement

  • Build automation for cloud provisioning, configuration validation, and remediation workflows.

  • Improve CI/CD security and deployment efficiency through pipelines, controls, and tooling.

  • Develop reusable infrastructure modules to accelerate engineering velocity.

Systems, Identity & Control Integration

  • Integrate cloud identity, logging, telemetry, and monitoring into standardized platform patterns.

  • Provide cross-team guidance on secure workload enablement and operational best practices.

  • Improve cloud visibility and ensure system state reflects intended configurations.

Cross-Team Enablement & Advisory

  • Work closely with platform, detection, IAM, and compliance teams.

  • Provide architectural input to application and engineering teams adopting cloud services.

  • Share insights related to risk reduction, optimization, and operational scaling.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8 10+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering roles.

  • Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure architecture, services, networking, and IAM concepts.

Hands-on experience:

  1. Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Pulumi, etc.)

  2. Automation tooling (Python, PowerShell, Go, etc.)

  3. CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)

  4. Proven ability to diagnose and improve reliability issues, scaling constraints, or deployment failures.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in reliability engineering, SRE, cloud security, or operational automation.

  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability platforms.

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectural design patterns.

  • Experience integrating cloud controls with platform enablement workflows.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Background in reliability engineering, SRE, cloud security, or operational automation.

  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability platforms.

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectural design patterns.

  • Container and Kubernetes Experience (Nice to Have / Optional):

  • Operating Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE) or supporting containerized workloads

  • Understanding of orchestration fundamentals, cluster lifecycle, and workload identity

  • Exposure to Helm, container registries, admission controls, or cloud-native observability stacks
