Job Title: Security Support Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 4+ Months Contract
Job Description:
Application Security team is looking for an application security analyst with 4 to 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, application security (preferred), or related domains.
Security Program support
- Support and contribute to the existing security enablement program by developing training materials presentations and educational resources.
- Support in facilitating training sessions and workshops for development teams on secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.
- Assist with security champion program activities including onboarding new champions, organizing meetings, and creating program content.
- Help maintain and expand security awareness initiatives across application teams.
Vulnerability Management Operations
- Execute daily vulnerability management rotational tasks including vulnerability triage, tracking, assisting in ticketing issues, status reporting etc.
- Analyze and validate any requested false positives and reduce noise in vulnerability reports.
- Support vulnerability lifecycle management from identification through remediation verification.
- Maintain accurate vulnerability tracking and working with various stakeholders to ensure customer experience.
- Identify any gaps in processes and propose solutions
Technical Collaboration and Guidance
- Work directly with application teams to understand vulnerabilities and provide practical remediation suggestions.
- Review code snippets and security findings to offer developer friendly guidance.
- Assist with secure coding consultations and ad-hoc security questions from developers.
Documentation and Process Support
- Create and update process documentation for application security workflows and procedures
- Document common vulnerability patterns and their remediation approaches
- Maintain knowledge base articles and FAQ resources for development teams
- Support standardization of vulnerability management processes
