IMMEDIATE NEW JOB OPENING for a Sr. BI MicroStrategy Business Process Analyst to join our team and work for our global client. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a global brand and grow your career! This role will report to the Director of Enterprise Business Intelligence. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Process Analyst to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical acumen, particularly with BI development and reporting tools, along with the ability to document and improve internal methodologies helping to ensure consistency and adherence to processes within the team. Organization, technical writing/documentation, and excellent communication skills are the top requirements for this position!

 

Responsibilities:

Development Methodology:

  • Utilize Jira and Confluence for managing development processes.
  • Shadow team members to document processes, identify common pain points, and improve internal methodologies.
  • Work closely with the wider technology team to manage platforms and tools.
  • Keep documentation up-to-date and ensure it reflects changes in processes and tools.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes and documentation standards.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Develop clear, detailed technical documentation for process adherence.
  • Facilitate communication within the team, including creating a monthly internal newsletter.
  • Ensure consistency in standards, naming conventions, and dashboard look and feel.
  • Hold training sessions and office hours to keep the team updated on process changes.

Onboarding and Initial Tasks:

  • Meet with team leads, review existing documentation, and build new documentation.
  • Create a repeatable, scalable framework for maintaining clean and up-to-date documentation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Track changes in processes and tools, ensuring documentation is updated accordingly.
  • Host office hours or monthly sessions to refresh team members on process changes.
  • Potentially explore the integration of Gen AI for documentation and process improvement.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in BI reporting tools, particularly MicroStrategy.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database development, particularly Amazon Redshift
  • Ability to understand and document technical discussions and changes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ask clarifying questions.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with database technology and SQL, such as Amazon Redshift, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of data concepts, structures, and foundations/architecture.
  • Ability to document technical processes and changes accurately.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work closely with technical teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience technical writing and/or technical business process analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills.
  • Experience with change management with highly technical teams
