Senior Software Engineer

An Entertainment Giant with offices around the country is looking for a temp Senior Software Engineer to join their team on a Hybrid basis. In this role, you will be a core contributor in powering the backend services for their streaming platform. The selected candidate must be able to work hybrid in their San Francisco office on a temp basis.

Pay: $94/hr

Duties:

• Contribute innovative ways to the company may serve content, whether algorithmically or via machine learning
• Develop backend APIs, implement system instrumentation, and provide documentation
• Discover reliable ways to manage, retrieve, store, and secure our data around the globe
• Design, build, and support high performance, scalable, and innovative backend systems/services
• Work closely with other engineers and product management teams to meet fixed deadlines
• Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solve product challenges
• Ensure code quality and maintainability with evolving architecture and tech stack
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5+ years product software development
• Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Hands on experience and expertise in object-oriented design methodology and application development using JAVA/J2EE, Design Patterns ,SQL ,Webservices
• Proven ability to complete projects within designated time frames, and taking proactive action in project completion efforts
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals , data structures, and algorithms
• Solid Java, Linux, Shell scripting, Python ability
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
• Effective communication skills
• Team player with an openness to learn and grow
