Location: Dallas, TX (On-site Tuesdays and Thursdays required)
Job Type: Contract (6+ months) with Right to Hire
Start Date: Week of July 7 or July 14
End Date: December 31, 2025 (Strong potential for extension or conversion to permanent)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Application Support Specialist at the Director level to lead and oversee DevOps, Application Support, and Software Engineering (Shield) teams. This leadership role is part of the Tax Innovation group and is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for mentoring high-performing teams. The position requires physical presence in the Dallas office on designated in-office days.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership across multiple Tax solution delivery teams.
  • Drive innovation and implement impactful solutions within the Tax domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate complex technical solutions into strategic business outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop future leaders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in:
    • DevOps application support
    • Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Troubleshooting and incident resolution
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cloud foundational certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity with clarity and confidence.
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and quality control.
