Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer

Locations: Remote

Duration: 3+ Months Contract

Rate: $90/hr W2

Professional experience:

  • 10+ years of S/4 HANA/ABAP/Technical experience
  • Candidates in this role should have hands-on experience on SAP ABAP technologies.
  • Supply chain industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve complex technical issues within our customer service-level agreements.
  • Translate Business User functional requests requirements to build technical objects utilizing best practices.
  • Able to perform under pressure during times like a system down situation.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct working sessions with business users as required.
  • Understanding SAP S/4 HANA/IBP/ECC/APO/GTS and table structures, data elements/fields, & table inter-dependencies.
  • Able to work with Basis team during troubleshooting, providing guidance when required.
  • The ability to research and apply OSS notes as required to resolve issues.
  • Utilizing tools like ServiceNow, Focused Build, Solution Manager, ALM, Planview etc., for day-to-day jobs.
  • Manage work with minimal supervision.
  • Will work with operations team in support break/fix activities as well as some project work.
  • May be in an on-call rotation supporting team / organization.
  • Expected to meet SLA or similar metrics commitments defined by IT and agreed upon by the organization.
  • Needs to be a self-starter and able to work independently following Client established coding guidelines and standards.
  • Analyze software requirements to determine design feasibility.
  • Develop software systems, including programming, documentation, and testing procedures.
  • Provide support and advice in all technical aspects during implementation.
  • Assist technical teams in addressing questions and concerns along with reviewing deliverables to ensure they are in alignment with overall roadmap.
  • Understand functional specifications, develop technical specifications, and perform coding and unit testing.
  • Should have experience with RTP, PTP, OTC, and RTR processes. EWM and QAR will be a plus.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of ABAP Development experience which includes Reports, Interfaces, CDS Views, OData (SEGW, CDS, BOPF and RAP), Enhancements, Adobe Forms, EDI, IDocs, etc.,
  • Must have object-oriented programming skills.
  • Should have strong experience with new syntax.
  • Highly proficient in debugging complex programs within SAP applications and web debugging.
  • Should understand multiple landscape architecture.
  • Should have experience in performance optimization.
  • Experience in configuring, activating, and debugging standard OData and SOAP APIs.**
  • Experience in ABAP Cloud building Fiori applications using RAP.
  • Experience in Side-by-side extensions.
  • Experience in Rapid development using SAP Joule and adopting AI to expedite the development and enhancing user experience by adding AI features into applications.
  • Experience in embedded steampunck/ABAP Cloud.
  • Should understand clean core and implement in the build design.
  • Experience in performing upgrade tasks like assessing upgrade impact, SPDD, SPAU, Custom code analysis, etc.,

Desired/Nice to have:

  • SAP EWM and/or RF programming experience.
  • Knowledge or experience on various SAP BTP tools like BPA, Integration Suite, Build Apps, API Management, Event Mess etc.,
  • Experience in S/4 HANA 2023 or higher.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices regarding ABAP development.
  • Experience in MDG.
  • Data extraction using traditional extractors and CDS extractors.
