Job Details

Title- Associate Product Category Manager, Consumer Products

Location- Los Angeles ,CA Hybrid

Contract- 9+ months Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the strategic vision for Hardlines product categories, including Toys & Collectibles, Consumer Electronics, and Game Peripherals, across both licensed and OEM products.
  • A talent for multitasking and excelling in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of sales, pricing, player feedback, and sales forecasts to inform product selection and inventory planning
  • Partner with regional partners, eCommerce, and game teams to execute distribution plans
  • Keep projects on budget and manage the inflow and organization of financial data
  • Ensure product line-plans and calendars are updated for cross-team visibility
  • Organize product team meetings and aggregate key notes and next steps/action items
  • Support on digital integrations with game teams
  • Work closely with product development, regional teams and retail partners by shipping and receiving product samples and prototypes
  • Research and monitor industry trends, player behavior, competitive landscape, and licensee performance to identify growth opportunities and white space for innovation

Position Requirements

This role requires someone who can roll up his/her sleeves, operating in a highly entrepreneurial environment to drive this business. More specifically, the successful candidate must possess the following skills and experiences:

  • Passion for games, bonus points for experience playing Client s titles
  • Experience in product, brand or category management, product marketing, business development, or licensing roles preferred
  • Comfort in managing budgets, negotiating estimates, and conducting market data analysis.
  • Expertise with project management tools (such as AirTable, Trello, or Asana) and spreadsheet programs (such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Experience working on cross-category initiatives
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on style consistent with fast-growing startup businesses
  • Strong project management skills with ability to drive planning, schedules, estimates, budgeting, resource plans and status report
