Mandatory Skills

• Experience in SDOH background preferred
• Experience with US based code sets ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS or international code sets such as ICD-10-AM, ICD-10-CA, ICD-10, CCI, OPCS, and/or ACHI experience required.
• 5+ years equivalent experience in coding or code mapping

Mapping Analyst/Medical Coder (SDOH)

Responsibilities: -

• Strong understanding of medical terminologies, procedures, and ICD coding systems (ICD, CPT HCPCS, SNOMED, LOINC, NDC etc).
• Familiar with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical documentation.
• Experience with medical chart abstraction and data annotation.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to follow structured extraction guidelines.
• Independently review clinical documents.
• Extract relevant procedures, diagnoses, and concepts.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in annotations.
• Flag ambiguities or inconsistencies in the data
• Detail-oriented with an ability to follow structured extraction guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with machine learning, NLP and AI concepts is a plus.

Educational Qualifications: -

• Clinical background: Physicians, nurses, or healthcare professional.
