Senior Quality Assurance Lead

Job Description: (Experience: 10+ Years)

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies for complex, enterprise-scale applications (web, API, mobile, backend).
• Own QA deliverables across the SDLC: test plans, test cases, test data, traceability matrices, and test summary reports.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business Analysts, and Release Management to define acceptance criteria and ensure complete coverage.
• Establish and enforce QA standards, best practices, and metrics; champion quality across the organization.
• Oversee and mentor a team of QA engineers (onsite/offshore), assign tasks, review work, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Drive automation strategy and implementation, working closely with the automation team to increase regression coverage and CI/CD integration.
• Lead functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, and production validation testing.
• Coordinate and participate in defect triage; analyze root causes and partner with development teams on timely resolution.
• Ensure QA processes align with healthcare, security, and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and Health standards.
• Report quality status, risks, and mitigation plans to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across tools, frameworks, and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on QA/testing experience in enterprise applications.
• 3+ years in a QA Lead / Senior QA role leading teams and owning test strategy for large projects.

Strong experience with:

• Test case design, test data creation, and requirements traceability.
• Functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Defect management using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Practical experience in Agile/Scrum environments; strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience working with APIs and web services (REST/SOAP) and using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Solid understanding of SQL and ability to validate data at the database level.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
• Proven ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and related security/privacy considerations.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Performance or load testing experience using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Experience working with distributed teams (onsite/offshore model).
• ISTQB, CSTE, or other QA certifications.
