Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively uncover and pursue fresh business prospects using research, referrals, and strategic outreach campaigns.
- Build and nurture authentic, trust-based relationships with clients, collaborators, and internal teams by understanding their goals and customizing offerings accordingly.
- Apply innovative thinking to create and execute competitive go-to-market approaches that highlight the company s unique value.
- Work closely across departments support, marketing, sales, and product teams to align outreach initiatives with broader company priorities.
- Monitor changes in the industry and shifts in the competitive landscape to spot opportunities for service or product expansion.
- Maintain a strong focus on growth targets, blending a consultative sales approach with a drive for measurable results.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and business proposals that communicate the value of partnership and secure high-revenue deals.
- Manage a robust sales pipeline, providing leadership with reliable forecasts and updates on progress.
Skills & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in economic development or business outreach.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business and meeting or exceeding growth metrics, preferably within property data solutions or assessment systems.
- Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence and a deep interest in client needs and relationship building.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to solve multifaceted problems and adapt quickly to evolving circumstances.
- Strong creative instincts for positioning offerings in a crowded or mature market.
- Highly motivated, flexible, and unafraid of tackling challenges or working through setbacks.
- Able to organize and prioritize competing tasks across concurrent projects.
- Solid understanding of the civic tech landscape, including public-sector operations and emerging digital tools.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and comfort analyzing data to guide decision-making is desirable.
- Prior experience leading a performance-driven team in a growth environment.
- Willingness and desire to travel approximately one week per month and hold a valid driver s license.
- Experience navigating local government structures and regional initiatives is preferred.
- Bachelors degree or higher in a business-related discipline.
