Job Details

SOFT's client, located in Syracuse, NY (hybrid) is looking for a Data Analyst for a long term contract assignment.

This position is responsible for the end-to-end management of third party applications for attachment to distribution and sub-transmission assets, including application intake, invoice, design and electric make ready coordination, and licensing.

Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for the thorough understanding and consistent, non-discriminatory application and monitoring of 3rd Party Attachment policies and procedures, and information systems:
o Ability to perform business and regulatory reporting requirements
o Understanding of Standards, Attachment Licenses, and Legislation
o Regulatory Reporting on 3rd Party Attachments
o Coordination with Design Engineering,
o Assisting with Post-Construction Inspection program coordinators
Ability to develop positive working relationships, internally and externally with a focus on the resolution of customer concerns (often relating to billing or company performance).
Manage necessary training and knowledge sharing for company personnel and customers to promote current technology, company standards, and innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
Develop and report on specific performance indicators to be established and communicated between all responsible organizations to address:
o Workflow management reports
o Regulatory Reporting
o Project budget, cost and schedule performance
o Application Lifecycle

Qualifications:
Associates Degree in the fields of Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management / Technology, or equivalent 1-3 years qualifying experience.
Strong overall PC skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite; especially MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word. Experience with Access, Visio beneficial, but not essential.
Understanding of safe/acceptable work practices related to OH and UG distribution facilities and communications space.
Understanding of process improvement and problem-solving techniques.
Ability to understand contracts, orders, standards, engineering design drawings and technical information.
Technical communication skills for the development of policy, processes, training, and presentation documentation.
Analytical skills to aggregate and interpret information from different systems to aid in decision making.
Understanding of legislative and regulatory directives relating to all aspects of the associated utility infrastructure attachments beneficial.
Developing understanding of STORMS, GIS, PowerPlan, SAP, Business Objects beneficial.
Familiarity of advanced data analytic / visualization software such as Power BI or Tableau beneficial.
Knowledge of budget process, financial accounting, customer relations and account management, engineering and design process, operations, and associated procurement and regulatory processes a plus.
Valid driver s license and acceptable driving record
