We are seeking to hire several Mid-level DevOps/Platform Engineers to join our team working on a new multi-year award we have within a large Federal Gov’t Agency in Washington, DC. This role is 80% remote, requiring 1 day per week onsite.
Being a US Cit is REQUIRED for passing a Public Trust Security Clearance to work on this program (can start working while it is in process).
This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).
An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.
Position Overview:
DevOps/Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining development infrastructure with focus on Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, scalable systems while supporting containerized application deployments.
Required Skills
1-3 years of experience in the follow:
· Kubernetes: Intermediate knowledge of cluster management, deployments, services, and operators
· RHEL/Linux: Intermediate system administration skills
· Bash Scripting: Ability to automate routine tasks
· AWS: Experience with cloud infrastructure and services
· Ansible: Configuration management and infrastructure as code
Key Responsibilities
· Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters
· Integrate and manage operators and Helm charts for various applications
· Administer RHEL/Linux systems
· Build and modify container images
· Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab Runners
· Implement security best practices across the infrastructure
· Support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes
