About the Role
Your scope will cover the entire rider experience, ranging from the core rider experience to newer verticals like rentals, Uber reserve, and business users! You will be leading the data science effort to develop insights that improve our product, and design measurement frameworks, metrics, and processes to track our success.
What You'll Do
  • Develop data-driven insights to identify opportunities to improve the product or build new products
  • Propose, design, and analyze large scale online experiments
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners identify opportunities for largest business impact
  • Present findings to business and executive audiences
Basic Qualifications
  • Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent.
  • Experience in experimental design and analysis, exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to use Python/R to work efficiently at scale with large data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Very strong communication skills across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
  • Experience working in marketplaces
  • Experience in B2C and B2B businesses
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.
