Detailed understanding of RDBMS systems like Oracle, Microsoft SQL ServerProven experience as a DBA with both SQL Server and PostgreSQL
Working knowledge of AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and managed database services
Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PowerShell
Familiarity with database migration tools (e.g., pgLoader, AWS DMS)
Strong understanding of data security, integrity, and compliance best practices
Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization
Ability to work on ad-hoc assignments with limited guidance
Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Outlook
Ability to use MS Visio and Powerpoint
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Creativity, team player, and customer-oriented mindset
Agreement to follow IRS Pub 1075 Requirements

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR-SCOPE OF WORK:
The Client is looking for a skilled DBA to aid in the administration of databases, documentation and the Operating Procedures. Assist with decommissions of legacy systems in preparation for the modernization efforts of the Unified Tax System which will be replaced through the next three years. The successful candidate will ensure that production database systems will be maintained and backed up, documentation is created in the standard and accurately depicts the day-to-day operations and processes. Systems are decommissioned according to the best practice. The successful candidate must have great enthusiasm, possess strong communication skills, be proficient in reading and writing, and be able to use the appropriate tools.
Responsibilities:
The DBA will apply knowledge of program areas to help define and implement solutions to a variety of problems that requires individually tailored responses under the guidance of the DBA Supervisor, other administration staff and Project Managers
The DBA will perform both structured and ad-hoc work tasks as assigned
The DBA will become a SME within the operations of DBA team
Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot legacy Microsoft SQL Server environments
Migrate schemas, data, and stored procedures as directed
Design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies across database platforms
Collaborate with staff and vendor teams to support database operations in FHS, AWS and Azure
Monitor database performance and ensure high availability and security
Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements
Process Diagrams and Flow Charts
Understanding the AS-IS production platforms and the processes that support the systems
Understanding the Technical Requirements for the various projects supporting both legacy and MYNT projects
Supporting production and development database systems and supporting architecture
Organizing and attending various meetings
Write test cases, and documentation as needed
Assist team members document processes and procedures
Help manage the Standard Operating Procedures for Taxation's processes
