Key Responsibilities & Skills
Must-Have Expertise
- Deep understanding of investment banking with focus on capital allocation and turnover, especially in derivatives and MBS.
- Strong grasp of securitization, including risk, hedge positioning, and asset structuring.
- Proven experience in private credit, assessing credit risk in complex instruments.
Mortgage & Real Estate Domain (Preferred)
- Familiarity with residential mortgage products, REITs, securitization, and specialty finance.
- Knowledge of real estate finance, including MBS, REIT standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Solid foundation in corporate finance concepts (ROE, leverage, cost of capital).
- Exposure to capital markets, hedging, and risk management strategies.
Program & Project Management
- Define program strategy, scope, timelines, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams (PMs, developers, analysts, QA) to drive delivery excellence.
- Oversee budgets, track spend, and ensure financial discipline.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate communication, and resolve conflicts.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks; maintain documentation and reporting cadence.
