World Wide Technology is looking for a Kubernetes with 5G core & 3GPP call flow functions (SMPCF, AMPCF, SCP). This role is part of WWT’s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT’s preferred partners.
The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $60.00 to $90.00 hourly on W2. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Job Description:
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Kubernetes with 5G core & 3GPP call flow functions (SMPCF, AMPCF, SCP) for a 6-month contract position based in San Francisco, CA, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.
In this role, the selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWT’s preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.

MUST HAVE KUBERNETES AS WELL AS Deep understanding of 5G core & 3GPP call flow functions (SMPCF, AMPCF, SCP)
MUST BE OK WITH OCCASIONAL NIGHT SHIFTS FOR DEPLOYMENT

Overview: Seeking a skilled Kubernetes/Network Function Deployment Engineer to support the buildout and rebuild of 5G core network elements, with a primary focus on SMPCF, and secondary priorities in AMPCF and SCP.
The ideal candidate will have strong Kubernetes expertise and experience deploying telco-grade network functions (CNFs).

Responsibilities:
Deploy and rebuild SMPCF sets on updated software using Kubernetes
Support deployment of AMPCF and SCP functions.
Assist in tearing down legacy sets and migrating to new architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (integration, field support)Ensure timely delivery of build milestones
Maintain documentation, track progress

Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
Deep understanding of 5G core & 3GPP call flow functions (SMPCF, AMPCF, SCP)Familiarity with CNF deployment, orchestration, and scaling
Ability to troubleshoot across network, platform, and orchestration layers
Experience working in agile, fast-paced, milestone-driven environments

Nice to Have: Oracle Experience
Experience with legacy-to-CNF migrations
