Job Details

Position: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Duration: 6 Months with Extension

Location: Remote 90% Onsite 10% for training and other meetings. Onsite location would be Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for web applications.
  • Conduct functional, regression, performance, and security testing of Harris County's websites.
  • Verify compliance with ADA/Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure responsiveness.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, and cybersecurity engineers to improve quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist with staff training.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in software/web application QA testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Axe for accessibility).
  • Familiarity with ADA/Section 508 accessibility testing tools and methods.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in testing web applications in government/public sector preferred.
  • ISTQB or similar QA certification is a plus.
