Job Title: Engineer

Duration: 12 months of contract

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Location: Lincoln, NE

Pay range: $44-54/hr. (Depends on experience)

Controls Engineer

100% onsite role, 12 mo. temporary only, not temp to hire.

Interview Teams video 1st round, 2nd onsite.

As we continue to advance our digital transformation initiatives within the plant, it has become evident that we require additional support to ensure the successful deployment and adoption of these technologies. Therefore, I am requesting the temporally addition of a new Controls Engineer to our team.

This role will be crucial in supporting all aspects of our digital transformation, including the implementation of new processes and Schneider standard traceability system in Automech, as well as ensuring their seamless integration into our existing operations to support our roadmap to be ready for our Lighthouse designation with the WEF.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor s degree in a field of Engineering (i.e. Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent is required)
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge
  • Dealing with Complexity, Informing Others, Leadership, Hardware Specifications, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Presenting Technical Information, CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design
  • 3+ years experience in industrial manufacturing environment including business informatics and/or computer science as well as experience with data communication devices (networking, wireless devices, gateways, routers, cloud servers)
  • SQL and SQL database knowledge is required
  • Experience with raw app development from scratch
  • Experience in reverse-engineering & diagnosing code in HTML and Java
  • Strong background in wireless and wired communications protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, CAN, Profibus, digital device test applications, and system integration documentation
  • Experience with OPC UA server communication
  • HTTP protocol understanding
  • Experience with PLC and HMI programming.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a multicultural virtual environment across various functions
  • Project Management competency, Business knowledge & Digital Savvy profile are required
